Job Title: Pastoral AssistantWork Location: Hybrid (Combination of On-Site and Remote Work)Reports to: Lead PastorStatus: Part-Time Benefits: Salary, Hours, Housing, and Future Tenure to be negotiated with Lead Pastor.
General Description:Jonestown Methodist Church (JUMC) is hiring a part-time Pastoral Assistant whose primary tasks involve visitation, children/youth/family ministry connections, Woirship leadership, and preaching. This position will receive ongoing mentoring as he/she uses and develops their gifts to pursue their God-given calling.

At JUMC, we…● Worships God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.● Proclaims Jesus as Lord and Savior.● Believes the Bible is God’s holy and inspired Word.We average between 60-70 in worship attendance with a demographic of middle-aged to senior adult members. We are active in missions to the poor and the overall community. We share a rich history of evangelical witness with a Biblical foundation. We strongly desire to provide children and their families the opportunity to hear the Gospel and discover the strength and wonder of a life of faith in Christ. We are also exploring ways to engage our community’s aging population and their families.
Vision: To incorporate our community into the life of our church by making personal connections to peripheral people and introducing them to small groups, discipleship, worship, and service.
